Harrogate Country B&B

I've been coming here one day a week for four years for horse riding, though I've never stayed overnight. The horses are good-looking and well behaved, and the staff try to make things good. It can be a bit dusty, and the vending machine doesn't always give you what you bought.

Check Sat Nav for Rudding Lane. The late noon checkout gets two thumbs up from me. This family-run B&B is tucked away, so it's peaceful and quiet, with lovely views. Everything was very clean and pleasant. The beds were comfy, and the rooms had travel kettles with tea and coffee. Breakfast was plentiful and continental, with boiled, poached or scrambled eggs available on request. There was a posh coffee machine and various teas, plus a snack and cold drink vending machine in reception.

For a friendly, comfortable overnight stop, this place did the job. The bed was comfortable, the room was warm enough, and there was a TV plus tea and coffee. It's cheap and cheerful, though comfort and cleanliness weren't up to Travelodge standards.

There were eight of us staying at the B&B, and we all want to thank James for making us feel so welcome. His customer service and approach were absolutely amazing, and he made our stay unforgettable.
