Cowden Holiday Park

The location sold us on the place, and now we’re looking forward to taking the dog for a walk on the beach. When we first came to look around a couple of weeks ago, Christian showed us the park and explained its family-run approach, with the owners being part of that family. Everyone made it feel homely straight away. We talked through the costs and got an exceptional deal on our van, trading in our old one from another site. Christian and Andrew have both been a huge help sorting out the changeover and getting the old caravan removed from our previous site. Nobody pressured us or tried a hard sell. We love it here. There’s a lovely community feel, and the clubhouse has good entertainment. The Cowden staff have been friendly and helpful since we transferred from another site at the end of 2025. They always have a smile and a wave when they see you around the park, and nothing seems too much trouble. If you need anything, just pop into reception and Louise and the team will do their best to help.

The club has a nice lounge, family room and entertainment room, and the staff and caravan owners make you feel welcome. We’ve stayed here twice now. Our caravan was lovely, with everything we needed, a cosy bed and a great shower. There’s also a shop and cafe, and Helen’s breakfasts are great. She makes you feel very welcome too. We’ll be back next year.

The Spring Lakes site is peaceful, and a quick stroll across the road takes you to the main site. Both places are well kept, and the neighbours who’ve arrived so far have been friendly. I’m looking forward to having my decking fitted soon so it really feels like home, and to the lake being finished so my son can spend his days fishing. The beach is about a 10-minute walk away, which is great for my dog, who loves the water. I first visited Cowden Holiday Park’s open day in May because I wanted to move my static caravan from another site in Hornsea. Andrew showed us around and talked me through the options. I called him the next day to reserve a spot. Spring Lakes was still being developed, but it looked just right for what I wanted. Andrew and the Cowden team handled the move after I paid the deposit. There was a small delay getting the van off the old site, but after that everything went to plan. I’ve been coming regularly for just over two months now and really love it. Thanks to Andrew and the team for making the move simple. It’s a beautiful site in a lovely East Coast location.
