There’s a cozy fireplace and a relaxed feel at The Ravenser, making it a comfortable place to unwind. The locals are friendly, and drinks are made without fuss. It’s a charming spot for a quiet drink by the fire or a chat, with a home-away-from-home sort of feel.

Thanks again to Sam, Sam dad Steve, deano, the staff, and everyone who came along. The race night for mental health “Andys man club” raised over 1600 pound and helped spread the word for a great cause. What an amazing pub, and a fantastic effort from everyone.

On southcoats Lane, The Ravenser is a welcoming community pub with very friendly staff and a good selection of beers, including cask conditioned tetley bitter on hand pump. It has a large outdoor seating area and a small car park. The former Tetley pub has an attractive 1930s style, with a lovely traditional two-room interior that’s stayed unspoiled. Highly recommended.

After a pint of Amstel and some sport on the TV, we carried on with our walk. We’d popped into the side bar with our little Jack Russell, after asking first, and the staff were lovely. The atmosphere was pleasant too. It’s refreshing to find a pub with two bars and one that welcomes dogs. Five stars from us.
