The kitchen in unit 10 was really well equipped, with high end everything, so cooking or baking was easy. It has two double rooms, though one is tiny and has a very small bed that wouldn’t suit a couple. For the price, we felt that room made the stay less comfortable than we’d hoped.

Dinner and breakfast were superb, and the bar had a fantastic range of fine Scottish whisky. We had a lovely view over the gardens from our bedroom, and the grounds themselves are stunning, almost like a stately home. There’s a big open fire as you come in, with traditional decor throughout. It may not suit anyone looking for a modern style, but we loved it. The staff were friendly, and we had a fabulous night here. One of our favourite hotels in Scotland, and we’ll definitely stay again.

Castle Hotel was my favourite stop on our trip around Scotland. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and even gave us some extra tips for our stay. We ate there one evening too, and the food was delicious. I’d happily come back.

We had a lovely suite for our two-night stay, and our friends were in a deluxe room. We were celebrating my husband's 70th birthday, and it was a fantastic place for it. The carvery on saturday night was especially good, with an amazing number of sweets, and the starters and mains were great too, with plenty of choice. Drinks were really reasonably priced. The hotel was clean and lovely, the staff friendly and helpful, and the owners were all very nice. Andrew was especially entertaining. We’d definitely recommend a visit.

The rooms are astonishing, and breakfast in the morning was very nice. This is a really special place to stay, a beautiful mansion with lovely interior decoration and a real sense of being a guest somewhere unique. There’s a nice bar and restaurant too, so you can spend the evening there without needing to head out into the little town. A great Scottish experience.
