Premier Inn Manchester Tameside Hyde

The staff are lovely, and the rooms are always fresh and clean. We find the location perfect, though the bathroom could use conditioner. The ceiling light switch is also too close to the bathroom one, so turning the light on in the middle of the night can be blinding. Outside noise is quiet enough, but footsteps carry through the building. At one point the people upstairs sounded like they were about to come through the ceiling. I was actually scared to fall asleep, they sounded like elephants.

The location is handy for Manchester and the Peaks, with a large Tesco nearby and a McDonald's too. It's easy to find, and the breakfast was excellent as usual. Mottram wood pub had good food and an excellent-value carvery. The place isn't an attractive Premier Inn, but it was great for a few nights, with the usual efficient service from Premier Inn.

The room had a good-sized bed and plenty of light, which is a nice change from the dull rooms you sometimes get. There was even a bath as well as a light-up make-up mirror. The receptionist was welcoming and helpful, which I really appreciated. Excellent in every way, I'd highly recommend staying here.

There's not much around the hotel, but the rooms are clean, spacious, and just what you'd expect. The room was well insulated from noise. The pub next door is a Green King, not owned by Whitbread, and it's below the standard of a Premier Inn restaurant. It was rather noisy, so I'd avoid it.
