We had Sunday lunch at the castle, where we were welcomed warmly. The food was excellent and cooked just right, so compliments to the chef. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, with great service throughout. We had a lovely time. I’ll recommend the place and will definitely come back.

We couldn’t have asked for a more magical day, and we’d happily book future events here. On April 25, my partner surprised me by turning my 40th birthday celebration at Lympne Castle into a wedding. We had around 40 guests, and everything went beautifully from beginning to end. The venue is stunning, and Emma and her team were incredible from our first meeting until the last guest left. The weather was perfect, and everything felt flawless. The staff were kind, professional, attentive, and ready to help. Our guests kept commenting on how beautiful the place was and how welcoming everyone was. We’d highly recommend the venue and team for a special event. Thank you for making it so unforgettable!

The roast beef was the best I’ve had in years, and the Sunday lunch was lovely. The beef alone made it clear why people get so enthusiastic about red meat. The Yorkshire puddings had just the right mix of crisp and soft, and the vegetables were interesting enough to enjoy on their own. We finished with crumble and crème brûlée, which was among the best we’ve had. Time for a nap now. The castle’s history, decor, and furnishings make the setting feel special, and the service was friendly and attentive. They checked in often and asked if we wanted more wine. First class, highly recommended.

I went to the charity garden open day, and the gardens were stunning and well laid out. We met some very good, chatty staff. There are great views along the coast from Hythe to Dungeness, and more to see from around the church grounds. The cafes looked good, but we’d already eaten, so didn’t buy any food. I hope the day raised money for whichever charity the event was supporting.

The Sunday roasts are first class, and having them in such a lovely castle makes for a really relaxing afternoon. With the bar now open until 10pm, it’s also a great place to have a quiet drink and take in the amazing views over romney marsh and beyond. I’ll definitely be back.
