I stayed here in late 2008. The bedroom felt really depressing, though there was a sitting room and dining room that I believe guests could use if they wanted to get out of it. The en-suite bath took about 30 minutes to fill. Breakfast was fine, and the welcome was what you'd expect, a welcoming patter that felt strained and artificial. I'd give it 1.5, not 1 or 2.

The food was freshly cooked by the chef and utterly delicious, and the stay felt like a real home from home. We spent five days on a DB&B break at Blair Lodge and came away feeling recharged. The welcome was warm, the rooms comfortable, and service attentive without getting in the way. With good off-road parking too, it’s excellent value for money.

The evening meals were genuinely high quality, which was a lovely extra. The owners are very friendly, and the place is spotlessly clean and well situated close to the beach. Most rooms have a sea view. Highly recommended.

Sue and her sister Carolyn were lovely and very accommodating. The place is clean and cosy, with a great breakfast, and it’s really close to the beach. I’d happily recommend staying here! 👍🏾

The views were lovely, and we found the rates very reasonable too. We had a perfect break thanks to the wonderful hosts and impeccable cooking. Thank you, Nick and Rachel!
