Cairn House

The hosts are lovely and always happy to help. Our room was spacious, the bed comfortable, and there was a nice shower room, with a bath available if you prefer. They even provide bottled water in a glass bottle with proper glasses, a nice touch. It’s a little out of town, but about a 10-minute walk to the main shops, then another five or ten minutes to the harbour. There’s a nearby bus stop, with buses into Ilfracombe. Cross the road and the bus will take you to Barnstaple.

The staff are friendly and easy to approach, and there’s parking for your car. The rooms are spacious, with comfortable beds, and breakfast was lovely. The bathroom has both a shower and a bath, with hot water available. There’s also a TV with channels and a good Wi-Fi connection.

Our hosts made us feel that nothing was too much trouble. The room and en suite were spacious, clean, and comfortable. Thank you for looking after us during our 10-day stay.

We’re sorry to be heading home, but we’ll definitely come back. It was our first visit to Ilfracombe, and this B&B was amazing. Both owners were friendly and upbeat, the rooms were spacious and clean, and the beds super comfy. Breakfast was great, and they even provided veggie sausages, which we really appreciated. There’s free parking at the hotel, and it’s an eight-minute drive to the centre, where parking is also free after 6pm. Thanks for such a warm, welcoming stay! 🫶
