Room 5 opened straight onto the back garden, which was lovely. We slept really well in the comfortable bed during our four nights, and the breakfast was tasty with plenty of variety. Heather was so warm and generous, always happy to help. We’d gladly return and recommend staying here.

We had room 1 and made good use of its balcony for the first few days, before the fog came in. The bed was comfortable and the place is within walking distance of Ilfracombe. Heather was friendly and attentive, and breakfast had a lovely range of choices. The plumbing was rather noisy, though.

I needed somewhere simple for the night after unexpectedly ending up in town, and instead found a lovely Victorian house. The welcome was warm, the room comfortable, and I slept like a baby. The full English breakfast was lovely too. I’d happily recommend it.

There’s a lot to like here: the rooms are spacious, the beds comfortable, breakfast delicious with good choice, and dogs are welcome. Heather, the owner, was friendly and helpful. It’s a short walk to the town centre and seafront, and the bus stops for the 21 to Barnstaple and Filer's buses to Woolacombe and Combe Martin are very close. Bicclescombe Park nearby is lovely for a stroll. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it.

Heather and Poppy are great hosts. In a nice part of Ilfracombe, the hotel has plenty of character, with good rooms and breakfast at reasonable prices.
