The park is a great base for exploring the north Devon coast, and we'd stay again. We got a great price for a three-bed lodge with a tub and sea views. Staff were very friendly and communication was excellent throughout. Our lodge was spacious, comfortable and well equipped, with plenty of room on the deck for tea or a glass of vino while enjoying the view. We're from Scotland and came before English schools broke up for summer, so it was ideal value. Arriving later in July would have cost another £800, and I don't think I'd have been as pleased. The bathrooms are fine, but could do with upgrades and don't have much wow factor. One room, where we put my teenage son who doesn't care, was a wee bit shabby, perfectly serviceable but below the standard of, say, center parcs.

You'll need a car to get around, as the site is in a rural spot. We stayed because it was close to a wedding we attended. Our cabin experience depended on which one you get: we booked no36 direct, a six-sleeper with a hot tub, and it was fine. One of my daughters had a very basic two-bed cabin booked through Airbnb that left a lot to be desired. Would I stay again? Probably not. In fact, I would never visit Devon again, though that's nothing to do with the park resort. In general, everything is so overpriced it almost makes you feel you're being taken for a fool.

We've stayed here three times so far, including in July 2022, and look forward to coming back soon. The staff are always welcoming and friendly. Our little girl loved the indoor soft play area, playground and outdoor pool. We enjoyed the restaurant pizzas, and the views are beautiful.

This was our second stay in the lodges. They're basic and the wifi is poor, my only complaints. The site is very clean and well looked after, and all the staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. Food isn't served at the clubhouse every night, so check with reception, but when it's available, I can't fault it. There's a lovely cafe just outside at the harbour and a great pub five minutes down the road, which I'd recommend booking before you go. The castle and theme park are great for the littlens and worth a visit.

The site has a heated pool, a little outdoor play area, soft play and a games room, plus a bar and restaurant with reasonable prices. It's a great place for kids. We were unlucky with the Devon weather, but the kids still loved their holiday. From a wheelchair user's point of view, it really isn't good, as I wouldn't have been able to get into our villa or bathroom. I managed okay with crutches, though. There's plenty of holiday stuff to do nearby, and the castle theme park is next door.
