Traquair Arms Hotel

It was our first visit, and we’ll be back soon. This hotel made a great base for exploring Peebles and learning some local history. The rooms were cosy, clean and lovely, and everyone was so welcoming. We had dinner there on both nights. The Sunday roast was yummy, as was the chicken, mushroom and tarragon pie the next evening. The young man serving dinner was lovely both nights, and Robbie was so polite at breakfast and happy to help. Heather chatted with us when we left, asking if we’d enjoyed ourselves and wishing us a safe journey. All the staff made us feel welcome.

The owner was such a gentle, pleasant man, and chatting with him made us feel truly welcome. All the hotel and restaurant staff were kind, attentive and helpful, always ready to make our stay better. We spent two days here with my family and had an amazing time. The hotel is beautiful and has everything needed for a comfortable stay. Our room was clean and perfectly equipped. Every dish at dinner was delicious, and breakfast was excellent too, with fresh, tasty choices. We’ll definitely come back. Thank you for everything, I highly recommend this hotel.

After a stunning walk, we stopped for food and beer. Jonny and Sally gave fantastic service, and there were loads of great options on the menu. Everything we ordered was really tasty.

Just got back from three nights here. The staff were excellent, and we had good restaurant food and a great breakfast. Our room was warm, comfortable and clean. The only small issue was parking. It’s tight at the side of the hotel and could become a problem when it’s busier, especially with large vans parked there. Otherwise, good value and thoroughly recommended.
