The hot tub was very welcome after our trips to the Loch Ness. We loved our stay at the Bright Star Lodge last September with our group of friends, and can’t wait to come back soon. Gary and Kay made us feel so welcome. It’s rural and peaceful, with beautiful views, yet close to plenty to do. A perfect place if you love the outdoors. Thanks so much again, Chloë & Elliot

We’ve stayed here twice now, and it won’t be our last. The lodge feels like a home away from home, with a recently upgraded kitchen, recliners at both ends of the sofa, plus a hot tub and projector screen. The scenery is beautiful, especially in the cold when snow covers the mountains. Loch Oich is right on the doorstep and looks like a mirror when the water is calm. Wildlife was a treat: we saw the resident Highland Coos and their babies, Red Deer, a Red squirrel and an otter. There are loads of walks a short drive away, including Steall Falls and Plodda Waterfalls, which are must-sees. Harry Potter fans should visit the Glenfinnan Viaduct. We also drove to the Isle of Skye, walked the Fairy Pool route and dipped our faces in the freezing water at Sligachan old Bridge for seven seconds, which is supposed to give you eternal beauty. Get to the Commando Memorial early and you might have the stunning views of Ben Nevis and the surrounding mountains all to yourself. Fort Augustus is about a 15-minute drive for a Loch Ness cruise, and Fort William is around 30 minutes away. Everywhere is dog friendly, and Gary is quick to help with any questions.

A great place to put your feet up and relax after a long day out.
