Skye Fall

We had no reservation when we came across this beautiful spot on the road, but they fit us in and gave us a fantastic experience. The food was awesome, and the staff were both very friendly and extremely professional. If I'm in Scotland again, I'll stay here. Thanks for a great experience.

A huge thanks to Paul and his team for turning an unexpected stop into an excellent stay. We were stuck in Invergarry after Storm Amy, with the A87 and A84 gridlocked and road closures blocking our way south to Ft William. Our travel agent managed to book us a last-minute room at the Invergarry Hotel. Though it wasn't open until 3pm, they let us in an hour early so we could use the facilities and recover from the traffic chaos. Paul, the manager (?) was calmly juggling staff who couldn't get home, others who might not get in, and stranded travellers like us. I suspect he hadn't made it home the night before either. Check-in was smooth, and the spacious room had a king-size bed and clean linens. Dinner and breakfast were both scrumptious. The bartender/server, who'd left at 1am the night before, had to turn around and spent the night on the sofa in the hotel office. Even after that rough night, she was a perfect hostess, bartender and server, despite all the travellers stuck with nowhere to go. Breakfast the next morning was excellent. We had the Scottish Kederee and strong coffee, a perfect start once the roads had reopened.

We found this charming place through a quick Google search when we needed an unbooked night, and what luck. The staff were friendly, attentive and full of helpful recommendations. They introduced us to Bealach, a local gin that quickly became our new favourite. The dining and bar area felt like home, with a relaxed atmosphere and music that suited the evening. Our last-minute room was quiet, spotless and incredibly comfortable. The welcoming feel, lovely decor and cosy spots for a chat made us wish we'd booked longer. Invergarry Hotel was well worth the cost and then some.

Comfy bed, attentive staff, and great walks starting right from the door. Dinner was smashing, all 3 courses, and breakfast was splendid. The car charger worked flawlessly, though it needs the roam app. Excellent from start to finish.
