Holm from Home

The bungalow gave us a really useful base while we moved from Leeds, searched for a rental in Inverness, and then moved into the place we signed for. It was pricey, but having somewhere settled during all that made it worth it. Stewart and Amanda were great hosts. Stewart kept in touch by text and email before and during our stay, and even shared contacts for tradespeople so we could start building a list for the new house. I could keep working remotely in IT thanks to the full-speed fibre internet. There was plenty of storage across the two bedrooms, and they removed one bed so I could set up a temporary office. The lounge and dining area had a large wall-mounted TV and good WiFi reception. We appreciated the folder with takeaway and restaurant suggestions, plus instructions for the appliances. A welcome card and box of chocolates were a nice touch. The kitchen had a small microwave, electric oven, gas hob, fridge-freezer, pod coffee machine with pods, and a dishwasher. The work surfaces felt a bit cramped. Milk, juice, croissants, and cereal were left for breakfast, which we appreciated. The large bathroom had a great shower, with plenty of towels and toilet roll. Out back, there was a private gravel garden with a table and chairs, and nobody overlooked it.
