Strome Lodge

We really appreciated the chilled water, fresh milk, and homemade shortbread waiting in our clean, comfortable room. The owners were lovely hosts, made us feel welcome, and shared plenty of tips for the area, including good pubs and restaurants. Breakfast was great too. Strome Lodge is a beautiful guesthouse about a 10-minute walk from the river and city centre, and we'd happily stay again on another visit to Inverness.

Marian made us a lovely full English breakfast before our long day trip to the Isle of Skye, and she’d also given us a handy list of local restaurants and bars. We were welcomed with tea, and the bed was amazingly comfortable. Our room was clean and well stocked, with a view over a quiet street, though the main streets of Inverness were only steps away. Every part of the stay felt thoughtful and comforting. I’d happily recommend this B&B and hope to come back next time I’m in Inverness.

The breakfast was delightful, the beds were great, and the hosts were even better. It had a cozy feel in a nice neighborhood, plus a lovely dog. We’ve stayed in plenty of different hostels, hotels, and B&Bs, and this is easily one of the best places we’ve found. A strong recommendation for getting a real Inverness experience.

The host was away for the weekend, but her sister and brother-in-law looked after us so warmly and attentively. They made wonderful breakfasts and had great suggestions for walks and places to eat. The room was spotless, well kept, and had an incredibly comfortable bed. Strome Lodge is lovely and quiet, while still being no more than a 10-minute walk into town. I’m quite picky about where I stay, and I’d recommend it to anyone.
