The Shorehouse

Jim, the owner, was kind and really helpful. I felt cold in February, so he brought extra blankets and heaters and made sure we were comfortable. His recommendations for places to go were amazing, and we loved them. The place is right among the restaurants and pubs, a five-minute walk from the ferry boats and close to the fisherman’s walk to the castle. I've already booked to come back in summer.

Our little girl loved the place, and so did my partner, my mother-in-law and I. The apartment was lovely and clean in an excellent location, and the owners helped with anything we needed. Thank you, we'll definitely be back.

The kitchen and bathroom were absolutely filthy. The bedding smelled of stale sweat and needed washing or replacing. There was no internet as advertised, and I was told to go into the garden to get access. The property was totally run down. It's on the market, and it felt like the owners had completely neglected it. It's definitely not up to the standard it should be.

For our two-night stay, it was decent. The apartment was on the top, second floor, right in the centre of Brodick and close to the harbour and shops. The beds, bedroom and toilet could do with some work and replacement, but everything was generally okay.
