We loved our February 2025 stay at Abhainn Cottage, and the kids did too. They had room to run around, comfortable bedrooms with TVs and all the apps, and plenty to explore close by. Callanias Standing stones are just a stone's throw away, making this a great spot for seeing the beautiful island. The cottage was warm, spotless and very comfortable. We had everything we needed in the kitchen to make proper meals, and the log fire was lovely after days out. The jacuzzi-style bath and sauna were a treat for us adults. It felt luxurious while still being cosy and welcoming. The garden stream and beautiful views made the setting special. We were lucky to get a week of glorious sunshine, too. For a peaceful, family-friendly escape in a lovely part of Lewis/Harris, Abhainn Cottage is hard to beat. We’d go back in a heartbeat.

David was very responsive as a host. We loved the view and the quiet feel of the cottage, and after long days out, the spa was a real treat. The beds were super comfy too.

The owner was quick to answer our questions, and we found everything we needed in the well-equipped house. The kitchen worked really well when we had family over, and there’s plenty of space. From the living room, the view keeps changing with the weather. The location suited us well, and we’d stay again.
