Tony helped us work out what to do each day, and the whole team at the lodge were warm, friendly and helpful. It was a great base for exploring the island. We ate at the restaurant twice, and both meals were delicious and served with care. Breakfast was lovely each morning too. We had the spacious, welcoming Iona room, with a lovely bathroom and a super comfortable bed. My husband and I had a splendid stay, and I'd love to come back.

We were in the Duart room for two nights in September, and it was fabulous: spacious and modern, with beautiful views, a luxurious bathroom and a great location. Fiona & Tony were very pleasant, and we recommend Pennygate Lodge. Breakfasts were delicious. The restaurant was unfortunately closed on Sunday and Monday, but there was a great pub just a five-minute walk away. We also enjoyed the drive north to Tobermory on those exciting one-track roads!

The gardens out front are exquisite, and the water view is lovely. It's easy to walk to town and the ferry dock from here, and a handy place to explore the island from. The home is beautifully decorated, and the breakfasts and dinners were wonderful.

Our room at the Pennygate was incredibly cozy, and breakfast was divine. We had dinner there one night too, just as delicious. The view from the room with the bathtub is simply stunning, so I'd highly recommend choosing that one. We had a wonderful stay.

We only stopped in for dinner and didn't stay here, but it was one of the best meals we had during our 2+ weeks in Scotland. The menu is small, but every dish was cooked perfectly with fresh, flavourful ingredients. We liked the desserts and cheese board too. Tony, the owner, has a great wine list and gave us exceptional recommendations. The small dining room makes for an intimate meal, and we enjoyed the personal interactions with the super friendly staff.
