I was travelling solo and really enjoyed Peter’s company. He manages the hostel, is great craic, and was welcoming, pleasant to talk to, and always up for a laugh. Tobemory, what a place! Thanks for having me.

A cheap and cheerful youth hostel, with a great pub and curry house within walking distance. Booking in was from 5-9pm, and once I got in, the woman at reception was very helpful. The only real drawback was the broken window.

The location is unbeatable, and the common rooms are really good and clean. Peter even hung a mirror in my room when I asked, and I appreciated the reading lights. The staff are faultless, so friendly and welcoming, and they do all they can to keep things clean and cozy. The rooms are poor quality for the price, and Hostelling Scotland needs to renovate the property soon. Management should also change the reception hours. A 3 PM check-in is the industry standard.

I had a very enjoyable stay. The hostel was quiet at night, and the owner made sure the rooms stayed clean. The service was friendly and helpful too.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. I liked that my dorm had only three beds, so it didn’t feel overcrowded. There’s a spacious kitchen, a separate lounge looking out over the harbor, and separate female toilets and shower.
