Skye Lodge

For our honeymoon, we stayed at Skye Lodge and had such a lovely time. The view and location were just right, and the place was nice but still cozy. The hosts were kind and welcoming. We’d recommend including it in your trip.

The food was tasty and kept us full for the day, and Claire even packed a couple of bagel sandwiches for our drive when we had to leave at 7:30 to catch a train in Inverness. We stayed in the North Superking, with a lovely view of the Loch out front. Its ensuite shower was a highlight: we’ve only found rainfall showerheads in a few places, and as people who only shower, we much prefer them to getting in and out of a bathtub. The building feels recently renovated and modern, while still warm. From the moment we arrived, Claire made us feel right at home. If we come back to Skye, we’ll definitely stay here again.

Claire was very personable and shared plenty of useful sightseeing tips. We had a great three-night stay, with fantastic breakfasts and the best smoked salmon ever. We also had dinner here one night, and the mushroom stroganoff was delicious.

We woke up to a lovely view from the window. In Dunvegan, this beautiful B&B had a clean room with lovely decor and modern amenities. Claire, the host, was kind and friendly, and made delicious omelettes!
