We stopped in for Sunday lunch and both meals were lovely, my chicken and my husband's beef. It's a welcoming pub, with a log fire that you feel as soon as you walk in. The staff and regulars are very friendly, and my new pup was happy lazing by the fire. We'll come back when we're in the area.

The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and the food selection was fantastic. Those home-baked treats, especially the "lamingtons," were delightful. A cozy open fire makes the place feel really warm. Such a treat!

We enjoyed the beef bourguignon and cottage pie, both delicious and generous portions, and the beer was great too. A friendly country pub with a roaring log fire, even in October. Highly recommended.

Lovely, cozy little pub, and the staff were amazingly friendly. The food was brilliant, and drinks and meals were reasonably priced. There's a good sized beer garden for summer and a play area for kids. Dog friendly too. I'd recommend stopping in if you're passing.

We had both lunch and supper here and enjoyed everything. The inside is attractive and traditional, and it wasn't noisy. Staff were cheerful and efficient. They do roasts on Sundays, different street foods on Fridays, and bookable afternoon teas.
