The breakfast was a real highlight, with a huge menu of main dishes plus extra foods and juices on the side. I had the full breakfast and it was great, with generous portions and a very friendly cook on site. I wish I’d remembered her name. The hotel is in a quiet spot on Keighley’s north side, and the rear parking felt fairly secure. Entry is by door and room codes rather than a staffed reception, but that was easy enough. The beds were very comfortable. There’s no lift, and the stairs are narrow, so plan ahead if you’re on the second floor. My only disappointment was the partly renovated bathroom: the shower worked well and had hot water, but the floor hadn’t been finished. Good value for money overall.

We had a lovely stay at The Dalesgate. The breakfast was wonderful, with everything you could want and more, and the cooked food was made to order. Our room was clean, warm and lovely, and the bed was so comfortable I could easily have slept another hour or two. It was a perfect base for our overnight trip for a funeral and for discovering the area. I’d recommend it and will definitely stay at The Dalesgate again.

The breakfasts were excellent, with huge portions, and check-in and check-out were easy. The rooms were comfortable and fairly basic, but had everything we needed. It’s a lovely traditional hotel, and we’d stay again if we were in the area.

The Dalesgate Hotel set the bar so high I can’t imagine looking elsewhere next time I’m around. Booking was ridiculously easy, finding the place caused no sat nav arguments for once, and getting into the room was effortless. The bed was so comfortable that getting up took some negotiating. WiFi was strong and reliable, and the hosts and staff were brilliant, friendly without being over the top. Breakfast was wow: perfect poached eggs and bacon just how I like it, crispy and not sad. It felt like a proper home from home, and I’ll come straight back.

A clean, nice hotel that’s basic, which is fine. The room had tea, coffee and a TV, and the instructions for getting in with the door code were brilliant. Breakfast was fabulous and the staff were friendly. It was convenient, and I’d stay again.
