Mulberry Cottage

We love historic buildings, so all the period details and high ceilings here really charmed us. The house is cozy and inviting, and we felt at home straight away. It's close to the main street, with a lovely view from the master bedroom, and we'd happily stay again and recommend it. The only things I'd change are adding a downstairs toilet and more plug sockets, though with an old house that might not be feasible. The character comes with fewer modern features. One thing to keep in mind is that the stairs and steps are quite steep, which may be difficult for some guests.

We had a great time exploring the area. We rode the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway and got off at Oakworth Station, where The Railway Children was filmed. We also took a bus from Sun Street to Hebden Bridge for £2 each way, which was much easier than driving and looking for parking. There was a canal boat cruise too, followed by lunch in St George’s Square. The cottage itself had everything we needed, and Julia was an amazing host. She checked in throughout our stay and offered useful advice. It's on Sun Street with parking outside, and Main Street is just at the end of the road. We had drinks at The Black Bull and Haworth Steam Brewery, ate at The Fleece Inn, where the food was really good, and got a takeaway from The Golden Hind Fisheries nearby. I'd definitely recommend Mulberry Cottage and stay again if we came back to Haworth.

Haworth is a fantastic base, just a short walk from the heart of the village, and Yorkshire looked glorious with sunshine all week. Mulberry Cottage was immaculate, tastefully decorated, and generously furnished, with a thoughtful modern update. Julie was a great host, answering our questions before we arrived and checking by email that we got there safely and had what we needed. I'd highly recommend staying here.

Haworth and the Dales are beautiful, and this was such a relaxing place to stay. It felt like a proper home from home, all cozy and homely. The welcome gifts and well-stocked tea, coffee, and milk were especially appreciated after a long trip. The cottage was perfectly equipped and immaculate. The online photos don't do it justice. We can't wait to return!
