Bella loved the garden, and we’re definitely planning to come back. I stayed for a week with my parents and our Cocker Spaniel, from 6/2/26 to 13/2/26. The place was spotless, with lovely personal touches and a really well equipped kitchen that I made good use of. I had the en-suite. It was wonderfully bijou, a bit like a narrowboat bathroom but with much more headroom. I loved it.

Staveley is a lovely village, with a couple of cafes, a Spar, a fish and chip shop that also does pizzas, and a really welcoming pub, the Eagle and Child. Buses run often to Kendal and the lakes, and there’s a rail service to Windermere and Kendal, as well as some good walks along the valley. We had a really good week at Craggy View. The bungalow suited six adults perfectly, and all the amenities made for a very comfortable stay.
