We had an amazing two days in this beautiful shepherd’s hut. It has everything you need, with stunning views, plenty of wildlife and a little stream you can hear from inside. So peaceful and relaxing. Jo gave us a lovely welcome and couldn’t have done more for us. We’ll definitely be back.

The peaceful setting and fabulous breakfast were just part of what made our two night stay so good. Steve, Jo and Dug the black labrador welcomed us with a lovely cup of tea and freshly baked hot scones, and their beautiful home was a pleasure to stay in. We’d read the reviews before booking and weren’t disappointed. If you’re looking for somewhere near Windermere in the Lake District, this is definitely a place to stay. Thanks for showing us the picture of the old cottage beside the new B and B. The transformation is amazing.

Jo and Steve, the owners of the Bed and Breakfast, were so warm and friendly that we felt completely at home. We stayed for three nights over the May Bank Holiday weekend in 2018, and were lucky to find the accommodation. We’ve been to a few B & Bs, but haven’t felt this comfortable before. The place was clean and well maintained, and the bedding and amenities were high quality. It’s listed as 3.5 Star on the website, though I’d put it closer to 4 Star. The approach has narrow country roads, as you’d expect with countryside living, but that didn’t put us off. We’d highly recommend staying here.
