Helm Mount Lodge & Cottages

We had 13 adults and children together for a family gathering, and the cottages were lovely, with very comfortable beds and kitchens stocked with everything we needed. The games room was a bonus. We all ate together around the extra-large table, and the pool table was a big hit. Highly recommend it for groups. Hopefully we’ll be back one day.

We had 14 people staying in the two immaculate cottages for a surprise 60th birthday with family and friends. There was plenty of room, and the large Lodge room was ideal for getting together to celebrate 🥂🍾. Two more couples stayed just down the lane at the punch bowl, only a couple of minutes’ walk away. We had a brilliant time and would definitely use it again.

I’ve had fantastic stays here over the years. The cottages are well cared for and give you an authentic Lake District experience, with plenty of parking and EV charging via an external 3-pin plug. They’re under a 10 minute drive from Kendal, and the nearest pub and hiking trail are within walking distance. Highly recommend!

There were 11 of us, and the place gave us plenty of room to spread out. We had six cars and there was loads of parking, with space for more. The rooms come in different sizes, so we ended up competing for the king en-suites. The games room was a great idea, especially the pool table, though bigger groups should bring some of their own games too. There’s space to have three games going at once. We also made good use of the gas BBQ for a few evenings away from city life. Angela was friendly and helpful when we first booked, before the lockdowns, and happily rearranged the trip twice without question. Couldn’t be happier with our much-needed break.
