Simple, comfortable accommodation close to the town centre, and very good value. Transport links to Windermere, Ambleside and further afield are good.

We had a good stay, and the self-service check-in and check-out worked well, even though it was new to us. The room and bathroom were very clean. Parking turned out fine despite the booking saying it couldn't be guaranteed. The lane in from Park street is narrow and a bit tricky, so use the lane closest to the hotel. The booking gave us the wrong entry code, but I called the number and it was sorted very quickly. Shower pressure was low but enough to get wet and rinse off the soap. Just don't have someone brushing their teeth while you're in there, or you might lose some skin, it gets VERY hot. Thanks.

The room had useful amenities, including a fridge, and the price felt good for what we got. Hannah was clear with her instructions and really helpful. The place is in a nice part of Kendal, an easy walk from the town centre.

We had a delicious breakfast each morning, cooked just right, and the room was spotless with plenty of space to move around. I stayed with Sue and Andrew for eight days, and they were friendly and helpful from the start. Sue knows the area really well and was great at explaining how to get around by bus. The room had a double bed and a single, a large wardrobe and dressing table, plus several drawers. There were two mirrors, including a full-length one, and another above the sink, as well as a small TV, lamp and alarm clock. It was very cheap for all that was included. I’d happily stay again and recommend it.
