The Villa Levens

The staff made check-in easy and were friendly and accommodating from the moment we arrived. Our room was spotless and well maintained, with everything we needed, a very comfortable bed and a pristine bathroom. The hotel clearly takes cleanliness seriously. We enjoyed every meal, from a hearty breakfast to a satisfying dinner. We had a relaxing, enjoyable stay and I’ll definitely return. Highly recommend this hotel.

I was at a wedding reception at The Villa and it seemed like a really nice spot. The food was excellent and the service was good. The access roads and car park could use a couple of loads of Type 1 and a whacker plate. The outside lights along the access routes also need a lot of bulbs replaced.

The drive up was lovely, with a good display of snowdrops, and the hotel itself is a beautiful old building full of character. There’s a grand staircase leading up to the bedrooms. Our room had a lovely, comfortable bed, plus tea, coffee, hot chocolate, bottled water and biscuits. The bathroom was smart and spotlessly clean, with lots of soft, fluffy towels. Everyone on staff was friendly and attentive. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of choice. I’d recommend the hotel and will certainly stay again.

We went to a wedding on 25th May. The surroundings were beautiful, and the staff were welcoming and pleasant, always happy to help. Our clean room had complimentary coffee, hot chocolate, still and sparkling bottled water, and a good selection of teas. The wedding breakfast was excellent and plentiful. The evening food was bacon and sausage barms/rolls with chips. Breakfast the next morning offered a full English choice of cereals, jams, fresh orange juice, tea and coffee, all self-serve. The meals tasted fresh, and they use their own or local produce. My one gripe was breakfast service. A friend and I placed our order with the waitress, then saw other wedding guests who arrived after us being served first. We had to ask twice, and our food arrived 40 minutes later. The staff were very apologetic. Apart from that breakfast hiccup, I couldn’t fault Villa Levens. I highly recommend it and would stay again.
