Acorn House

It was easy to head out to other places from Acorn House, and downtown was still within walking distance. The proprietors were so friendly and helpful with travel suggestions. Breakfast was cooked to order, delicious, and had a good range of options.

The car park was a big plus, and Keswick town centre was about a five-minute walk away. We stayed two nights. The room was cosy and clean, with tea and coffee facilities and a comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious. I’d definitely recommend this B&B 😊

The hosts were warm, friendly, and attentive, and even had handy grab bags for mornings when we were in a rush. We had a spotlessly clean room and a really comfortable bed, plus a fantastic choice at breakfast. It isn’t sleek or modern in style, so that may not suit everyone. We valued the comfort, cleanliness, and genuine hospitality, and would happily come back.

Breakfast was tasty and filling, with lots of options to choose from the night before. They also catered well for dietary restrictions. The hosts welcomed us, showed us the breakfast room and lounge, then pointed us to our room, which was a nice touch since getting room and key-lock details before arrival can feel a little cold to me, even if it seems normal now. We were upgraded to a large room with a huge comfy bed and all the amenities we needed. The furniture suited the age of the house, though it made the room feel a bit dark. The shower was powerful and hot. Keswick is lovely, and only a few minutes away on foot.
