Sunnyside B and B

I’m already looking at coming back for a week in December, and I hope to return in August 2026 too. My week at Sunnyside was wonderful. The hosts were friendly and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. Paul cooked delicious breakfasts, served by Nicky, with lots on the menu. I asked for something that wasn’t listed and they were happy to make it; I enjoyed it so much I ordered it again. The homemade wholemeal bread was delicious, and there was homemade cake in the guest lounge each afternoon. My room, the dining room and the lounge were clean. There’s also an evening meal option, which I recommend for its quality, taste and reasonable price. As a solo traveller, it saved me the awkwardness of going to eat somewhere alone.

We felt so welcome, and we’re definitely coming back next time we’re in Keswick. We’ve just returned from two nights at this beautiful guest house with three friends. The owners were friendly, kind and professional, and the rooms were spotless and had everything we needed. Breakfast was delicious, with homemade bread, and there was cake in the lounge alongside coffee, tea and alcoholic drinks. You can book an evening meal too. After chatting with other guests who ate there, we realised we’d missed a treat.

My family keeps growing as more of them come along to Sunnyside with me, and it’s been wonderful each time. The hosts are so kind and welcoming, always thinking of what guests might need and keeping everything going. Thank you so much!

Can’t wait to go back to Sunnyside in September, this time for three nights. We’ve just had a lovely weekend there. Paul and Nicky were brilliant hosts, really friendly and welcoming, and feel like good friends now. The room was amazing, and breakfast had so much choice and was amazing too. Nicky’s homemade cakes in the guest lounge made it feel so homely.
