We went at lunchtime today and the staff were awesome, friendly and attentive. The onion bhaji starter was first class, I could've eaten 20! For my main I had the pie with horseradish mash and vegetables, carrot and parsnip. Just the right amount, and I didn't feel uncomfortable afterwards. Everything tasted delicious, and the bill, at just over £60, was very reasonable for four people, especially with four large Cokes too. No room for dessert, sadly. This is a beautiful little pub, great for a pint or a good meal, with a big screen skittles, a car park and a garden with seats at the rear. The village is beautiful too. Visited March 7th 2026.

The welcome from you, your staff and the local residents was the warmest I've ever had, and I'll always cherish it. Thank you for an excellent stay in your beautiful home. The food and drink were amazing, and your Sunday roast was the best ever (don't tell my mum). Five stars all the way. Wishing you all the success and happiness you deserve. From Troy/colgate or more memorable Gary Barlow.

We went for an evening meal as a table of five and were pleasantly surprised by the restaurant and staff. It's a lively pub with a good vibe. The food was fresh, tasty and very reasonably priced, and the staff were polite and on the ball. We'll return.

The pub has a pool table and football, which are a nice extra, and it feels like there’s something for everyone. Since moving back from London, we’ve met and socialized with more people here than we did during all our time there. It’s such a welcoming, friendly place in a beautiful village, with a great atmosphere and some of the best food around. I had one of the best steaks I’ve enjoyed in a long, long time. Roll on summer.

We had the Sunday roast lamb, which was amazing, then a delicious bread and butter pudding. The staff were so friendly and the service was excellent. It’s a gorgeous dog-friendly country pub, and we’ll definitely be back. Thanks so much.
