Everything was clean and well looked after, including the separate kitchen, shower and toilets. We stayed during a very cold spell, but the pod was still cosy. It’s so quiet here, and the views are stunning. I’d highly recommend staying.

Such a cosy cottage, with fantastic mountain views and everything we needed inside.

Pod 1 was tucked away nicely and gave us plenty of privacy. We also had our own parking spot, fridge space and a shelf in the kitchen, all clearly marked. The shared kitchen, toilet and shower were clean, and the shower stayed warmly consistent. The pod was adorable and had the basics covered. We even had a fire pit for our instant BBQ, which we loved. My boyfriend is 1.95 meters tall and slept comfortably, though the bed could feel small for some people. Neil came out to welcome us when we arrived, and was very hospitable. We were there for two nights and got lucky with sunny weather, so we could hike in the Mourne Mountains and go to Newcastle. Trails are easy to reach from the accommodation. We honestly couldn’t think of any improvements, and felt we got good value for our money.

The views are incredible, and the cabins are positioned to give each one good privacy. We came for a weekend at the end of February 2025, arriving late after work, and Neil quickly welcomed us and showed us the cabin and facilities. It was cold, but the little fan heater warmed the room fast. The showers were very clean, and there’s a shelf and fridge space for your food. Neil was around if we needed him without getting in the way. We drove to Spelga Dam, Newcastle town and Tollymore Forest, and had food at the nearby Maghera Inn. The cleanliness was perfect, so we’d definitely come back. There’s no signal, which was just what we needed.

The views were amazing, and it was the most peaceful place I’ve ever stayed.
