It’s a bit remote, but a great base for walkers, with plenty of room and everything you need for a lovely holiday. The modern kitchen is well equipped. The spiral staircase might put some people off, though it was fine for us. We’d definitely return, hopefully with better weather.

This cottage is a barn conversion in a very nice, quiet spot with hardly any passing traffic. It’s very comfortable and has loads of space, including four decent-sized bedrooms spread across the levels. The spacious living room has four settees and a good-sized TV. There’s a ground-floor shower room, plus a bathroom on the 1st floor. The dining area is on the ground floor and opens onto the garden through patio doors. You could fit 8-10 people around the table.

Our family of 8 and our 2 dogs had plenty of room in this lovely cottage. It’s on a quiet road, surrounded by majestic hills and streams, about 5 miles from the town of Kirkby Stephen. Highly recommend it!
