Jill was fantastic, answering all our questions about the area and things to do. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the comfortable restaurant didn’t echo. The toilets were super clean too. We’d booked an evening meal and had a wonderful 6oz burger with chips, yummy salad and coleslaw. It was Monday evening, so we could chat a bit longer than we might have if it had been busier. Thanks for making us feel so welcome. 💖

During Bonfest we stopped in for a few drinks, and of all the bars we tried, the Thrums was easily the best. Kirsty served us for most of the evening and was a brilliant host. A classy place, with well-trained staff. 5*

The staff were so friendly, the beds very comfortable, and breakfast was 10/10. Great location too. I'd definitely recommend this hotel.

A cute little pub with super friendly staff. The food was lovely, with that good homemade feel. We stayed in one of the rooms too. It was basic, but fine.

We slept well, even though the room is right on the street and we knew there might be some noise. Room 1 was huge, with lots of floor space and everything in good order. The double bed was very comfortable. We got a warm welcome and were shown to the room straight away. In the morning, the cooked breakfast was well done and served promptly, with juices and cereals available for self-service. Enjoyed our stay and would recommend.
