Lagnakeil Lodges

Oban suited us perfectly for a few peaceful days. It has lovely scenery and plenty to do, with a few amenities within driving distance of where we stayed. Just what we were after.

The owners made this stay especially memorable. They were warm and joking with us, shared things about the region, and stepped in when we really needed help. They also cared a lot about how our mother was doing, and we're truly grateful. We stayed at Lagnakeil Lodges to visit the Highland Titles reserve, and the setting worked perfectly for both that and Oban. The park is beautifully placed, with an almost perfect view from our cottage. The cottage was comfortable too, with good facilities and comfortable beds. We'll definitely come back.

We were moved to a different cabin at check-in because walking was difficult for us, and we really appreciated that. It was comfortable, with plenty of heaters for cold nights and nice furnishings. The views were lovely, and it was quiet while still being close to oban. We also enjoyed seeing deer wandering around.

Oban made a great first impression, both for its location and the helpful, friendly people we met. Our lodge was very clean when we arrived and well maintained, and we all slept really well in the comfy beds. It's peaceful here, with bars and restaurants not too far away. There seemed to be a games room and other facilities on site, but with the current situation we weren't sure if they were closed, and honestly we didn't ask. The harbour is about a five-minute drive into town, with boat trips to see sea life or visit the islands. If you're taking a car on the ferry, book about a week ahead. We hope to return and see more of Oban.
