Breakfast was the part we’ll remember most, especially Rosie’s stories over smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, or a full English. She made us feel at home straight away, even though flight delays meant we arrived late. Rosie's Talbot House in Lacock has all the charm of an old English townhouse, and the building is over 600 years old. A lovely place for that countryside stay.

Lacock Abbey and the River Avon are about a three-minute walk away, and the village centre is only two minutes on foot, with pubs and tea rooms. The private rooms are comfortable and set apart from the host.
