Station Guest House (Room Only)

A good economy room at a good price, with pubs and shops close by. The private parking is great. You get what you pay for.

After a four-hour trip I got into town early, and the housekeeper kindly let me check in two hours ahead of time. She was friendly and helpful. The room was bright, with a board of local tips, and had everything I needed: a fridge, kettle, microwave, shower gel, towels and tea and coffee. I had four pots of milk, and could ask for more.

I was only here for one night, and found the room and facilities lovely. Parking wasn't mentioned on the website, but there is a car park behind the building.

We booked at the last minute, so weren't sure what we'd find, but this turned out to be a great little discovery. The host was lovely and friendly, and the room was cosy and quiet even with the train station nearby. It's really well placed for seeing Lancaster's sights and good value for money. We'll be back next time we visit Lancaster!
