The countryside around here is beautiful, with some lovely walks nearby. We had a really enjoyable stay: the room was lovely, the food was great, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It also makes a good base for sightseeing, about 10 minutes from Penrith and not too far from the Lake District.

The beer and wine were good, and the hot chocolate was nice too. They also had Guinness, non-alcoholic Guinness and ciders. The bar has an old-fashioned fruit machine and a couple of traditional pub games, which were fun. The bar area and toilets could use a renovation to bring them out of the 80s, though. The bar staff were so welcoming and helpful. Thank you.

Our room was modern, clean and very comfortable, and the staff were lovely. We only ended up staying because of a national rail issue, but the Lady who looked after us that evening was one in a million. Huge thanks to her for helping us sort out transport and checking that we were okay. We hope to come back one day and enjoy the hotel and its surroundings properly. Much love from Scotland Chris X

This was our second visit to ECHouse Hotel, and everything was just as good as last time. The location is superb for exploring the Eden Valley, which is so beautiful and interesting. There are local walks from the hotel, and the friendly staff make your stay really pleasant.
