The host handled concerns dismissively and communicated poorly. Parking isn't available, and the flat was extremely cold even with the heater on, perhaps because the windows were draughty. It sits opposite Leeds Central Library and is an eight-minute walk from Leeds General Infirmary. The place smelled strongly of mould throughout, and the shared areas were dirty and full of rubbish. The lift wasn't working. The lights kept going out, possibly because of their “energy saving” policy, and it took many calls and hours to get them fixed. Sitting in a cold, pitch-black flat was awful. The listing appears on Airbnb, Booking.com and Agoda. Please don't fall for this scam.

Inside the flat, the blue sofa was broken and propped against the heater to keep its back from falling down. There was visible damp all along the outside wall, and the ceiling and coving were dirty and coming apart, with paint peeling from the damp. The poorly fitted window let in the cold and did very little to block noise or weather. On Monday night, people shouted and swore at each other in the corridor all evening and through the night, with doors slamming and more shouting and screaming. The cannabis smell in the corridor hit us as soon as we got there and stayed throughout our visit. The shared areas also smelled damp and dirty. I contacted the host because I couldn't believe this was the place advertised on Booking.com, and found them dismissive when I raised the problems. They never sent the post-stay invoice despite repeated requests. We arrived Sunday 12/10/25 at about 1830hrs after a five-hour drive. Outside, overflowing commercial bins smelled awful and were attracting rodents. The parking details hadn't been provided after booking, so I expected parking at the property. Instead, we had to make three separate trips to and from a different car park to unload our belongings. It wasn't far, but it was not what we expected or needed after the drive. The painted numbers 147 were so worn it took several minutes to find the entrance. The communal door was broken, though it had been repaired by 14/10/25.

At £75 a night, it wasn't up to the mark. Street noise carries through all day and night.

When I entered apartment 41, I realized it wasn't the one shown in the photo. It smelled of mould, there was no hot water, and the power simply stopped working in the morning. I tried reaching the host by email, phone and message, and even through Booking.com help, but got no response. The only time I managed to speak to him was after I went looking for a cleaner inside the building and asked her to call him. He said he'd send someone to fix things, but nobody came. I sent several more emails asking for help, and he ignored them all. The host is rude, a liar and a terrible person. This place should be closed. I'll do whatever it takes to sue him.
