I slept comfortably, and the air conditioning kept the room at just the right temperature after such hot weather. I'd brought a fan but didn't need it. The bedding was comfortable too. I liked the neon industrial look and the red and blue lights. Check-in was easy, and the bar staff were very friendly. It's a private, lively hotel. I could sleep through the muffled club sounds, bass, and vibrations, so they weren't a problem for me. If you want a quiet room, though, don't stay here. I was there Saturday night, which I assume is the longest and loudest night of the week. The vending machine wasn't working, and I probably didn't need that bottle of Jagermeister anyway. Fun stay, and I'll definitely return.

The room was far too small and hot, and the window only opened a couple of inches, so there was hardly any air. It was called boutique, but my wife and I thought it was trashy. With the window open, we could hear everything outside, including the nightclub and trains. At 12.30am we actually tried to book somewhere else so we could get away from the heat and noise. We'd never stay here again. DO NOT RECOMMEND

It's right in the city centre, with lots of places to eat nearby and a pub downstairs that stays open until the early hours. The pub was decent, drinks were reasonably priced, and there was entertainment, so it suited a night out. The Briggate Hotel in Leeds was cheap and surprisingly modern inside, with a massive shower and an alcohol vending machine in the hallway. The room app for ordering things didn't work properly. It was also very noisy: trains, traffic, drunk people outside, clubs going all night, and music from the pub below. The radiator didn't work because the only socket it could reach wasn't working, so the room was a bit cold. There's no parking on site. I parked at Victoria a couple of minutes' walk away, but it was expensive. I had a great time, but this isn't a place I'd stay for a quiet night. Good for partying until late.

The room was spacious enough and very clean, and the bathroom and shower were nice. I slept really well even though there was some nighttime noise from the bar downstairs. They provide ear plugs if you'd rather use them.

The noise from the bar below was ridiculous. We knew a train line ran beside the hotel and expected some noise, and the listing did mention a "busy bar", but we didn't expect bass thumping through the entire room until 4am. We couldn't get a few hours of sleep, so my wife and I found another hotel for the second night. The early deliveries and clean-up were noisy too. At one point, the sound outside was so loud we thought the window was open, but it wasn't. The building needs serious soundproofing and double glazing. We'd booked two nights through Booking.com and were initially okay with our small room, Priscilla, which was enough for what we needed. After enjoying the day in Leeds, we came back and tried to settle in, but the noise ruined it. There was no receptionist around at night if you had a problem or emergency. There were no tea or coffee facilities in the room either, so you had to go out to a small, dingy cupboard to make a drink. The entrance and corridors felt grotty. I won't come back, and I'd urge anyone looking in Leeds city centre to go elsewhere unless they have no other option. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
