Nite Inn Bed Breakfast

For £25 each, my companion and I got a clean double room with comfortable bedding, room to move, and a spotless, well-equipped bathroom with a strong shower and hot water. We arrived after 3am with help from a friendly taxi driver, and the buzzer eventually brought a sleepy, rather incoherent man to the door. His English was limited and he was brusque, but the room itself was just what we needed after a long day walking around Leeds and wanting to get away from the town centre's drunken noise. It was cheap and perfectly adequate as a place to rest. This is a bed and breakfast, though we didn't try the breakfast. Don't expect a hotel, but for a clean, comfortable room, it was a better deal than I think you'd find elsewhere in Leeds.

Very basic budget accommodation, but for the price I didn't have much to complain about. I did have to pay cash because, apparently, there was no card machine. The kettle didn't work either, and they'd put it on top of the wardrobe, which was an odd spot.

We only ended up here because every hotel in Leeds was fully booked and we couldn't find a better option. The Wi-Fi was a complete waste of time, the bathroom was so cramped we had to park right outside the place, and apparently we were “safe.” The bedding looked like it was for a four-year-old and was really disappointing. The place smelled strongly of drugs. It was absolutely terrible, and I'd never stay here again, even if desperate. I wouldn't advise anyone else to stay either.

I haven't stayed here for a few years, but called to ask if there was a bed for next Tuesday, since something happening across Leeds had made everywhere expensive. The woman who answered kept saying she didn't know, maybe, and wasn't sure when I asked whether she could check the book. I gave up and said goodbye. That call brought back memories of my last stay: breakfast was half a plate of beans, with the other half swimming in grease. The place smelled rotten, and I'm sure he came up to my room and put his ear to the door to hear what I was doing. The shower was so tiny a child would get stuck trying to get in. The floor was uneven, and the TV had more and more channels showing nothing. Forget the haunted house at Thorpe Park, come here for the real experience.
