Premier Inn Leeds / Bradford Airport

The kettle was a real bonus for me, and the room was spacious and comfortable. It’s a great place to stay overnight before an early flight. The bathroom was a good size, with piping hot water in the rainfall shower. Towels, bedding and toiletries were all good quality.

The room was clean, and we had no noise trouble, which was a relief. It took about three minutes to drive to the airport the next morning. Reception staff were okay, neither especially attentive nor rude. There was just one towel for two of us, so I went down to ask for another. They handed one over without an apology, and that was that. Otherwise, a typical Premier Inn.

The hotel needs a refurb, and it looks tired and tatty. The vending machine was out of order, and paying at the car park machine took 20 minutes and several tickets. The bar and restaurant were awful: service was so slow that we had to leave for our event before the food came out, so we didn’t get to try it. Drinks were expensive. I felt sorry for the two people working on a Friday night, as there was far too much for just two staff. There were some good points: the reception staff were lovely and very helpful, the beds were comfortable, the location was convenient, and there was a large car park.

The staff were nice and friendly, which must be a lot to handle with so many guests coming and going. It was busy much of the time, but noise wasn’t an issue and the price was reasonable. The bathroom seemed due for some maintenance or a refresh, and black mould on the window suggested more cleaning was needed. Still, it was an okay room for the price.
