The Glengarth

The building had a foul smell, and the rooms were dark, dingy, small, and extortionately priced. The staff were unbelievably rude too. I can't think of a single thing right with the place. Don't pay to stay here, or even take a free room. I'd choose a street corner and sleeping bag over this. My experience was utterly abysmal, and even 1/5 doesn't rate it low enough. Avoid it at all costs.

Friendly staff and good service, but the room needed work. There was plenty of dust and muck about, the shower was tiny, and there was an offish smell. Decent folks, though.

We booked at the last minute for a night out in leeds and stayed on saturday. The bnb isn't the most modern, but the lovely family running it treated us so well. They kept the tea and coffee coming, made us a lovely cooked breakfast, and nothing felt like too much trouble. Couldn't have had better treatment in a 5*. I'd definitely return.

We arrived earlier than expected, and they let us check in and arranged a taxi into town. We had a lovely day there until my granddaughter became ill and we had to return to the hotel. When I told the gentleman in charge, he promptly offered to refund most of my money, keeping £20, which I was very happy with. I can't say much else about the hotel, but I'll come back to see this lovely couple.
