The staff were nice, and the house was within walking distance of everywhere I needed to go during my couple of days there, about 20-30 minutes away. I was glad the sheets were clean and the mattress had an anti-bedbug cover. But there was dust all over, sticky marks on the bedside table, hair on the bathroom floor and on the towels, and makeup stains on the towels as well. I can only show one photo, but there were several toenail clippings on the floor from the previous guest. I’m not usually fussy about hotel rooms and understand that a low price means lower expectations, but the floor should at least be vacuumed between guests.

There’s no parking at the property. You can park farther down the road, but only for a maximum of 3 hours. Inside, the place is run down and needs updating and general maintenance. The curtains let in all the light, so they don’t darken the room. It was dirty and unhygienic, with dusty, unvacuumed carpets, a dirty shower and grimy switches. The staff didn’t seem to care. Do not book this property.

The location worked really well, just a short walk from a shopping street, and the internet was the fastest I’ve ever had. It was free, too. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, just what I wanted. I extended my stay several times at the last minute, and that was no problem. The owner was welcoming and friendly from the start, helped me arrange an earlier check-in after a long trip, and sorted things out straight away whenever something wasn’t quite right. I had a really pleasant stay and would happily come back. Highly recommend.

My motorcycle was stolen outside the building at 3 a.m. It was only two years old and worth €27,000. The street lamps were broken and unlit, even though the receptionist had assured us the area was “safe” in barely understandable English. I’ve reported what happened to the local authorities and hope health and safety officials look into it. The room was dirty and damp with a terrible smell, and the bathroom was neglected, including a filthy toilet. From arrival onward, everything about the place felt awful. I don’t understand its positive Booking ratings, something doesn’t add up. It was disgusting and felt unsafe. I strongly advise looking elsewhere. If zero stars were an option, that’s what I’d give.
