The room was filthy when we checked in yesterday. There were big hairs and stains on the bed, an empty whisky bottle on the side, and plastic bottles scattered around. It was one of the worst rooms I've stayed in. When the owner came to look, he tried everything except refunding us or paying for another room. We were fortunate to find different accommodation, which we paid for ourselves, and it was much better. I'd give this place zero stars if I could. Avoid it.

Apart from the location, I'd steer clear. There's no reception, and when you call for help, the person on the phone is rude and unhelpful. The tiny TVs can be heard through the walls, so we had a terrible night's sleep. At 3 am someone tried to kick in a door and get into a room; we called for help but got no answer. Then at 10:20 someone came banging on our door and demanded to check the room before we left. I would've felt unsafe if I hadn't been with my partner.

Handy central location, and the room was fine for a short stay. There’s a shared kitchen available, though the room had no shampoo or other toiletries.

We'd booked another guest house, but a leak meant we ended up here instead. The rooms are a good size, and the shower was good. The beds felt a bit soft. It's in a great spot on the edge of Leicester city.

I had no proper hot water in my room, and they never came up with a real solution. Only in the morning, after I called more than 10 times and sent an email, did they move me to a room in a different building. That room also lacked proper hot water. When I asked for my money back, they offered me a £100 discount for a future stay instead. Useless place and useless people running it.
