Breakfast had a good spread of fresh continental and English options. Francisco was our waiter, friendly and smiley, and helpful throughout. The staff we met were all welcoming and happy to offer advice. Our large room was clean and nicely furnished, and the bed was massive. We had an amazing value weekend break at the Holiday Inn Leicester. It’s a proper quality hotel at reasonable rates, and I’d definitely recommend it.

We’re staying overnight for the first time, and Erica at reception gave my partner and me such a lovely welcome this morning. She was friendly, helpful and had a beautiful smile. She couldn’t have done more for us, and we really appreciate it.

The staff were really good, and the woman who checked us in gave us a room facing away from the stadium. The location was good, though I wouldn’t book when there’s a match at Leicester city stadium. The air con wasn’t working, but they gave us a fan. With the window slightly open and the fan on, it was easier to sleep. A good hotel for one night.

We chose it for its location, which was great for what we needed to do in Leicester, and the free on-site parking was a bonus. The staff were friendly and the food was good. But the air conditioning wasn’t working in July, and on the fifth floor the window barely opened. With three adults in one room, including one menopausal woman, and only one small fan, it was extremely hot and uncomfortable. I wouldn’t recommend staying if the air con is out.

I stayed one night and woke up with more than 10 huge, itchy bites. There were bed bugs in the room on the fifth floor. The bites were so big that the bugs might have been there a long time. Please check the rooms thoroughly.
