Leicester City Apartments by Charles Hope

The location was great, with a lovely communal area and good views. The website robot was handy and mostly useful. But the rooms were cheap, noisy and not as described. There was no concierge when we arrived. A resident let us in, then I called the mobile number left on the desk. I noticed the ringtone was coming from someone waiting by the window, apparently distracted while texting. He checked us in, but greeted us by saying, “we're nothing to do with charles hope - we only provide card access.” That was the only service he offered, and he gave us just one card, which didn’t work for the lifts. That was fixed soon after. The apartment was basic, not luxurious, and the bed wasn’t king size. There was no mattress topper or fitted sheet, just a loose, cheap sheet. Plenty of things were broken or didn’t work properly, and we could clearly hear the neighbours even though they weren’t especially loud. There was no parking, despite the chat box suggesting there was. We complained while we were there and were told someone would get back to us, but nobody did. We contacted them again early last week and were promised escalation and a reply within a couple of days. That hasn’t happened either. For the price, I’d look elsewhere.
