We'd happily go again. We had our Sunday lunch with my partner's ladies group, and the polite, friendly service was quick to respond. We had booked ahead and chose two courses each from the two- or three-course options. We shared the baked brie with Sourdough bread, then both had roast beef with extra cabbage and peas on the side, and split a cheesecake. Everyone loved the food, though most of us struggled with the generous portions. We ate indoors at a pair of long tables and met outside in the garden, where there are picnic benches and a covered area. The dishes pictured include baked brie, roast beef, roast pork, cheesecake and chocolate fudge cake.

The food was excellent, and I had a chat with the chef Simon, who’s doing a brilliant job. It’s a lovely little pub with a great outdoor area. My little girl absolutely loved the bouncy castle out back. Highly recommend.

We were there for a baby shower and thought the place was lovely. The staff were amazing and helpful, and it was very family friendly for my kids too. I'll be back for an evening out soon ❤️❤️

We stayed for two nights while visiting the area for the Victory Show. The pub had a friendly feel, and we got chatting with a regular, Scotty. There was a good choice of well-kept beer, and a TV section showing football, which was the main reason my friends picked the place so they could watch their teams. I spotted a dartboard, though we didn't play. The outdoor area is a good size, and the car park had plenty of room to find a space easily. On the second night we all ordered pork belly. It was nice and clearly cooked fresh with fresh ingredients, though I thought it could use more seasoning and a little extra sauce. Other dishes I saw going to tables looked very appetising. If I lived nearby, I'd visit more often.
