The Narborough Arms By Greene King Inns

We won't be going back to the Narborough Arms, despite there being some lovely staff there. We usually stop in for coffee on Friday mornings after dance class, and today we had to bang on the door at 10:30 to get in, even though it's normally open then and that's what the website says. The woman who let us in was very rude. I think her name was Amy. She said she was alone in the building and that having eight doors was unsafe for her. Her manner was appalling. While serving us, she stopped and ignored us to go speak with a woman at the computer, leaving us waiting. She gave one friend less than half a mug of coffee, saying the machine might be broken, and the rest of our drinks were stone cold. Her hostility has put us off returning.

I've been in a few times recently with my dog after work, since I moved nearby, but after what I saw and heard yesterday, I'd avoid weekends. Someone called my dog ugly, so I told him what I thought. Later, I went for a puff on my vape, and when I came back people had taken over my table and were openly doing drugs there. I left as soon as they started bragging about doing keys. The staff are great, but some customers in the area openly use drugs.

The food was delicious at both dinner and breakfast, and the staff, especially Amy and Joe, were so friendly and helpful. My room was comfortable, though the shower wasn’t very powerful. Since it wasn’t in a sealed cubicle, that made sense. The location worked really well for my trip, but my phone reception there was poor. At least the Wi-Fi was free.

Tia, Holly and Carys made the pub feel so welcoming. They were friendly and quick behind the bar all evening, and I had an absolutely brilliant time. Thanks to them for such a great experience. I’ll definitely be back!
