We had a really enjoyable stop here, with great drinks and a lively atmosphere. The staff made everything easy and were wonderfully attentive. I'd recommend it to anyone passing through.

After the school run, I came in for breakfast and was very pleased with both the food and the service. It was good value too, so I'll definitely be back.

The welcome from Glyn, Kelly, the staff and the locals was lovely. We had Sunday lunch on Mother's Day and couldn't fault it: proper home cooking, plenty on the plate, and lots of flavour. The big homemade Yorkshire pudding and extra gravy were gorgeous. Strawberry cheesecake was just as good, full of flavour without being too sweet. We'll definitely return.

Karen, stephen and the lads, thanks so much. We'll be seeing you again very soon. The rooms were spotless, and this friendly family-run pub has parking on site. Friday's food changes each week, but it's always top-notch, with portions big enough to make you loosen your trousers. The place is ideal for a stay if you enjoy history, walking or cycling. We had excellent service and a lovely, idyllic stay. Can't think of anything bad to say.

The home-made chips were especially good, and all the food was excellent. This family-run bar with accommodation made us feel welcome, as did the family and regulars, who suggested places to visit. We only got to a few of them, so we'll come back and explore more of the area.
